CARNARVON FARM (JANE MACDONALD)

TWO ADULT AMATEUR GRANTS OF $500 

Two Carnarvon Fram Grants are intended to assist Dressage BC members - Adult Amateurs in pursuit of dressage education. Any Adult Amateur competing in the past year between Training and Third Level may apply. The rider must use the Grant to attend a Clinic. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

 

BLUE HERON FARMS (WENDY AND GORDON CHRISTOFF)  

DEVELOPING FEI RIDER GRANT $500

The Developing FEI Rider grant is for a Dressage BC member competing at 4th Level or higher within the past year. Preference will be given to the rider using the grant for equestrian education at a Provincial or National Symposium. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

 

PAT AND MARK DUMONT POST SECONDARY EDUCATION GRANT $750

This Grant is intended for a Dressage BC member (Open or Amateur) who is enrolled in a Post Secondary Education program at a recognized College or University in 2018. The selection criteria includes Academic results from 2018, competition results from 2018 as well as demonstrated excellence in related areas such as leadership, volunteering, contribution to the sport and sportsmanship conduct. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

 

THE THUNDERBIRD SHOW PARK TRAVEL GRANT $500

This grant is for a Dressage BC member from any division who incurs significant travel costs to compete at Thunderbird Show Park. The 2018 grant is for the Regional Championships in October. The selection criteria includes competition results as well as demonstrated excellence in related areas such as leadership, volunteering, contribution to the sport and sportsmanship conduct. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

WORKING STUDENT OF THE YEAR GRANT $500 (DONATED BY NONI HARTVIKSON)

This grant recognizes extraordinary work and development of a competitive athlete who is a working student in dressage. 

Criteria: Nominees will be judged for their work, development and performance while being a working student. Nominees must be a member of Dressage BC and nominated by a member of Dressage BC. Eligible athletes are those who have trained in BC for the 2017 calendar year or those who received the majority of their development in BC before relocating to be a wking student for the purposes of training and competition. We reserve the right to seek additional nominations at any time. Please enclose an action photo of the nominee in JPG format. Please email any supporting comments, facts and results for the Selection Committee to consider to dressagebc@gmail.com. Deadline for submission is October 31, 2018. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

 

WEST COAST DRESSAGE FESTIVAL - STABLING GRANT $600

This grant is for a Dressage BC member from Youth 25, Young Rider, or Medium Tour division, at the National or CDI level who plans to attend the West Coast Dressage Festival in 2019. The grant is for CDI or National stabling at any 2 WCDF 2019 shows during the 2019 WCDF Festival year, dates can be found www.westcoastdressagefestival.com. The selection criteria includes competition results from 3 shows. Scores for National - 60%, CDI 1* & 3* - 65% - 1* & 3*, W- 67%. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

"DRESS FOR SUCCESS"

COMPETITION RIDERS 25 YEARS AND UNDER  ($1000 VALUE)

Noel Asmar Equestrian is donating a $1000 in value grant in show clothing for a deserving young rider under the age of 25 as at the beginning of the calendar year.

Asmar Equestrian show clothing will include a show jacket, two show shirts, two pieces of warm-up gear, one short jacket, socks, hat and more!  

The rider is to be riding Second Level and above, competed in at least two competitions and have a reference from their coach. Show record, community volunteer experience, and sportsmanlike conduct will be considered. Please submit all information required into the written submission section of the application form. The online application must be received by October 31, 2018. The winner will be announced at our next AGM to be held November 17th, 2018.

THE SIETSKE MEMORIAL/ APPLAUSE DRESSAGE FREESTYLE GRANT (up to $1150)

Liz and Leanne Peniuk of Stone Hill Farm have partnered with Karen Robinson of Applause Dressage to co-sponsor this grant in honour of the spirit of Sietske and to celebrate the aspect of dressage that she loved so much and shared with so many.

Open to members: Amateurs, Juniors, Professionals or Young Riders from First Level to Grand Prix, the criteria is as follows: 1) Scores for a single horse/rider combination earned from three different EC recognized competitions scored by at least three different judges, during 2017  (scores may be from multiple levels) 2) a reference from at least one EC certified coach providing details of the applicant's efforts and development 3) a description, up to 500 words, explaining how the grant can best assist the applicant to achieve their goals.
