2024 COMPETITION SEASON

DIVISIONS (2024)
-
Junior (18 and under)/ Young Rider (Also CLICK HERE to apply for 2024 Medal Awards at WCDDP)

ADULT: Riders aged 19-49

SENIOR: Riders aged 50 and above

OPEN: Riders aged 19 and beyond

FEI Categories: Small Tour, Advanced (Medium and Big Tour combined), and Youth (Pony/Children/Junior/Young Rider combined)
-
FEI Young Horse classes are not eligible for awards

PERIOD COVERED: JANUARY 1, 2024 TO OCTOBER 31, 2024
SCORE REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, participants must meet the following score requirements:

Submit THREE SCORES, including at least one test from the highest level (Test 3).

Scores should be obtained from three different judges.

Scores must be from BC competitions, licensed HCBC shows, and shows with licensed judges (including most schooling shows), and Equine Canada Bronze, Silver, or Gold shows.

An average score of 60 percent or higher is required for qualification. Scores under 60% will be accepted if the total of all three scores meets the mandatory 60% threshold.

Please note that freestyle scores will not be accepted.
PRIZES*

Champions and Reserve Champions will receive prizes.

Award winners will be notified before November 30, 2024 (exact date to be determined).

The awards ceremony will take place at the Annual General Meeting.

Prizes can be mailed to recipients at their own expense.

The deadline for online application and the submission of results is October 31, 2024.

Official results, including test papers, must be submitted through the online form.

Applicants must be permanent residents of BC.

Scores can be accumulated throughout 2024.

Riders may apply for only one level and one division award per horse/rider combination.

Dressage BC reserves the right to award prizes in the order of the highest qualified entries received.

Para Equestrian

Western Dressage
ELIGIBILITY:

Awards are available to riders in both the Open and Amateur categories at HCBC licensed competitions (including most schooling shows) and Equine Canada Bronze, Silver, or Gold Competitions (which also includes some Breed shows).
Tests ridden may be selected from either HCBC or WDAA (USEF) tests.

Awards are to be collected in person or can be mailed at the recipient's expense.

Scores can be accumulated throughout 2024.

Riders may apply for only one level and one division award per horse/rider combination.

Scores may be from Amateur or Open competitors, based on tests ridden in BC.
-
Western Dressage applicants may also enter the classic Dressage Divisions (i.e., Children through Senior).
-
Dressage BC reserves the right to award prizes based on the highest qualified entries received.
SCORE REQUIREMENTS

Three scores from three different judges from licensed Canadian competitions, and shows with licensed judges (HCBC, EC Bronze Silver or Gold). One score must be from the highest test of the level.

An average score of 60 percent or higher is required to qualify; scores under 60% are accepted if the total of all three scores meets the mandatory 60%.
-
The final percentage score for the winner will be verified.
-
The average score of three tests ridden in the qualifying period will be used to calculate the final result.
-
Freestyle scores will not be accepted.
