Rider Pricing

Two lessons with Omar (Saturday & Sunday): $550

One lesson with Omar (Saturday OR Sunday): $300

Auditor Pricing

DBC Members: $50/day or $80/both days

Non-Members: $65/day or $110/both days

Volunteering

We have a limited number of volunteer spots available for each day of the clinic. Saturday's volunteers will receive an auditor pass for Sunday (and vice versa). Volunteers will also receive lunch and refreshments for their hard work and dedication! Please email us at dressagebc@gmail.com to let us know you're interested in volunteering.

Please download and complete this form and email it to dressagebc@gmail.com. In the body of your email, you must include a link to your application video (YouTube or Vimeo preferred; link to cloud storage is also acceptable).  All applicants must provide a video (link to YouTube, Vimeo, or a cloud drive) that demonstrates their current readiness.

Option A: The Highest Test

A video of a recent, complete performance of the highest test of your declared level. Examples include:
 

Training through Fourth Level: Test 3
FEI Young Horses: Competition for 4-year old horses; Final Competition for 5-, 6-, and 7-year old horses
FEI U25, Young Riders, Juniors, Pony Riders, and Children: Individual Competition
Small Tour: FEI Intermediate I
Medium Tour: FEI Intermediate II
Big Tour: FEI Grand Prix Special

Option B: The Schooling Video

A schooling video (max six (6) minutes, following the technical guidelines) demonstrating the following key movements for your level. 


Videos that do not fulfill the following criteria will not be considered. Please review carefully.

Perspective: Filmed from the letter C (the judge’s perspective).
Visibility: The horse and rider must occupy a significant portion of the frame; videographer must zoom in when appropriate.
Audio: Keep original audio.
Continuity: Unedited, continuous footage is required. Please do not submit “highlight reels” or edited montages.

Third
Extended gaits; half pass at trot and canter; single flying change of leg; renvers; release of reins at canter; rein back to trot.
Fourth
Collected walk; very collected canter; walk pirouettes; tempi changes every third stride; counter change of hand in trot and canter; working half pirouettes in canter.
FEI Small Tour (Prix St. Georges/Intermediate I)
8 m volte in trot; 3 half-passes 5 m to either side of centre line with flying change of leg at each change of direction (canter zig-zag); extended canter to collected canter and flying change of leg; five (5) tempi changes every third stride; seven (7) tempi changes every second stride; canter pirouettes.
FEI Medium Tour (Intermediate A/B/Intermediate II)
3 half-passes 5 m to either side of the centre line (trot zig-zag); passage; passage transitions (walk, trot, piaffe); piaffe 8-10 steps (1 m forward permitted); piaffe-passage transitions; seven (7) tempi changes every second stride; 11 tempi changes every stride.
FEI Big Tour (Grand Prix/GP Special)
Passage transitions (extended trot, extended walk, collected canter); piaffe 12-15 steps; piaffe transitions (collected walk); nine (9) tempi changes every second stride; 15 tempi changes every stride.
U25 Grand Prix
4 half-passes 5 m to either side of the centre line (trot zig-zag); half volte in passage 10 m; piaffe 8-10 steps; passage transitions (extended walk); nine (9) tempi changes every second stride; 15 tempi changes every stride.
Young Riders (Preliminary/Team/ Individual)
8 m volte in trot; five (5) tempi changes every fourth stride; five (5) tempi changes every third stride; half pirouette; extended canter to collected canter and flying change of leg.
Juniors (Preliminary/Team/ Individual)
10 m half volte in trot; 10 m half circle stretch on a long rein in trot; shoulder in; walk pirouettes; 10 m half volte in canter to simple change of leg; single flying change of leg.
Pony Riders (Preliminary/Team/ Individual)
8 m volte in trot and canter; shoulder-in; half pass in trot; half pirouette in walk; two loop serpentine with first loop in true canter and second loop in counter canter with simple change at X.
Children (Preliminary A/ Preliminary B/ Team/ Individual)
Shoulder-in; 10 m half volte in trot and canter; turn on haunches; two loop serpentine with first loop in true canter and second loop in counter canter with simple change at X; 20 m circle stretch on a long rein in trot.
Competition for 4-year old horses
Serpentine two loops in trot; medium walk; lengthening of steps in trot and canter; stretch on a long rein in walk and trot; 20 m half circle in trot - sitting; trot-halt transitions.
Competition for 5-year old horses (Preliminary, Final)
Serpentine three loops in trot; medium trot and canter; turn on haunches through walk; collected trot and canter; 10 m circle in collected trot; walk-canter transitions; 10 m half circle in collected canter; counter canter; simple change of leg; 20 m half circle in sitting trot allowing gradual stretch on a long rein.
Competition for 6-year old horses (Preliminary, Final)
Shoulder-in; half-pass in trot; extended walk, trot, and canter; half pirouette in walk; single flying change of leg.
Competition for 7-year old horses (Preliminary, Final)
Canter-halt transitions; 10 m half volte in trot; half pass in canter; extended canter to collected canter and flying change of leg; half pirouette in canter (radius of approx. 1-3m allowed); 20 m half circle in canter with give and retake of reins for three (3) strides; three (3) tempi changes every fourth stride; three (3) tempi changes every third stride.
